According to a report from Bombshell Zine, Blaqk Audio will be touring in support of Evanescence this March in Australia. This is Blaqk Audio’s first tour outside of the United States. The dates are below:
- 3/23/12 – Royal Theatre, Canberra
- 3/24/12 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
- 3/26/12 – Convention Centre, Brisbane
- 3/28/12 – Entertainment Centre, Newcastle
- 3/29/12 – Entertainment Centre, Sydney
The tour has also been confirmed on a radio station Triple J in Australia. The ticket presale will begin on February 3 at noon and run until February 7 at 9am local time. Tickets will be on sale to the public beginning at 9am on February 9. Why them though? I mean, they’re so different, unless BA is going in a very different direction this album than anyone thought they were.

Evanescence is okay but i didnt expect BA to tour with them….and BA is a whole different style
I don’t see anything wrong with bands touring with other bands of a different genre and this doesn’t necessary mean BA is going in a different direction sonically. I think a little diversity is nice at a show and this is usually something AFI does touring wise anyway. However I’ve never been a fan of Evanescence but this setting will expose them to quite a crowd. This is the only reason I can really come up with as regards to touring with Evanescence thou.

I’m going to Melbourne for sure. I don’t mind My Immortal by Evanescence – that’s about it though, she’s got a set of lungs on her.
Two of my favourite groups! Wish they’d tour in Southern California together…
It IS odd that two separate genres are touring together, but I love them both.
